History
Phillips & Co. has been trading as Printers & Stationers since
the 1930’s. Mr. Horace Turner purchased the company in 1958. His
son Ken took over the business in 1975 and runs it with his wife Tina.
Now their son Glenn, is a director keeping the firm in the family for
it’s third generation. From January 2004 we became a Limited Company
to maximize on all the advantages available.
The premises we occupy were previously, a Public House called the ‘Seven
Stars’. The rumour is that it ultimately closed because it had
become a ‘house of ill repute’!! The bar area was converted
into the shop, whilst the skittle alley became the printing works, both
have been extensively enlarged over the years.
